About me? I hate about me stuff! Dot points are my default here….

• • I am a teacher and Uni lecturer who is originally from Perth, WA. I relocated to Canberra, ACT in November 2014 and after a couple of years working in the public school system, I took on a leadership-ish type role in an independent school with a trauma support framework in place. I have been back in Perth since 2021 (yay, pandemic relocation) and am working in universities at the moment.

• • I am somewhere around 35-40 years old.

• • I have an adorable, wonderful and eternally patient (well, patient with me anyway) partner B. B is pretty awesome but one issue we ran into when I started blogging about trips with him was that he really doesn’t like his name or face on the interwebz. So we compromised. I use the initial B in place of his name and all photos with him have emoji stickers covering his face so he retains anonymity.

• • We got engaged in 2017 but don’t currently have a wedding date or anything planned. I wear my wedding ring cos…why not!?

• • I have a bit of an addiction to Dangerfield dresses, little party dress and colourful cardigans. They make me HAPPY!

• • I am a massive dork. I love Doctor Who. Oh, and pandas. Lots of love for pandas here. And polar bears. Actually, it’s really most things bear-related. And our dog, who’s name is Bear.

• • I’m a fur baby mum to Bear the Chocolate labrador (8yo) and Sasha the west highland terrier (6yo). Bear has been ours since he was 9 weeks old and we adopted Sasha in mid 2020 after our fosterfail doggo Jet passed away. They are my babies and I spoil them rotten. Bear is a gigantic oaf, while Sasha is super smart….and super naughty. They love it when we go on holiday because they get a pet sitter who spoils them rotten.
